While the girls napped yesterday, I decided to finally go through a cabinet, with a lot of my jewelry in it. Well, and on top of that, lots of clutter that had just been thrown in there for some time now. To give you a better idea, here it is:
Yes, I know, it's a mess. Well, here's the work in progress...
And the final, yet not-so-final, product.
I love that I can now see most of my necklaces, but they're still layered on top of each other. Does anyone have any solutions to my dilemma? I've tried jewelry boxes and pins, but I have too many necklaces for a jewelry box, and for pins, many of them are too heavy. I've heard that tie racks work, but cannot find the right one. What should I do?

On another note, my daughters and I went to visit my grandparents in Spartanburg this past weekend. Here are just some of the gazillion flowers they have in their yard. They are so proud of their yard, and especially love it when the azaleas are in bloom, and others can enjoy their yard too. I'm so glad to share their yard with you, too!
Prince, the neighborhood cat, that they feed.

I have no idea with the jewelry, but your pictures are gorgeous! I hope someone else has an idea!
ReplyDeleteI just seen the coolest post about displaying necklaces....let me see if I can find it again and I will send you the link.

Look at your fabulous photos! Aren't you having fun with your new camera?! I'm constantly on the mission to organize my jewelry - currently, clutter is winning!
ReplyDeleteThat picture of the cat is great!!!!! Love it! :)
ReplyDeleteI am totally with you on the necklaces!! I have mine all strewn about on a shelf in my closet. It's terrible. What we need is one of those cabinets that you open and you can hang all your jewelry on it. My husband has been telling me to get one for years. Here's an example.

P.S. I just tagged you!! :)
ReplyDeleteI have 2 ideas for your jewelry. I use a drawer divider that has multiple compartments for necklaces, rings, etc. I don't think that's it's intended purpose but it works for me. Also, what about a belt hanger?
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, by the way!
Terrific pictures here! Okay, you need an acrylic necklace stand. Typically shaped like a "T" to string your necklaces along. Put it in the front of that cabinet and find little divided boxes to stack up behind it for earrings, bracelets, etc. Look at retail suppliers (I used to own a small boutique!).
ReplyDeleteGreat start :)
