Weekly Whereabouts

So my computer is still having issues, mostly through iPhoto, but I’m slowly getting it all figured out.  As I’ve written before, I’ve become addicted to Instagram lately, so if you want more frequent highlights, find me there @sweetsouthernprep.  Seriously, those that follow me already know what I’m talking about…obsessed.

Here’s what I’ve been up to this week…

Think he’s secretly trying to tell me something?
Last Saturday, we headed out with friends to see the Blue Dogs perform.  Great performance!  Honestly, just nice to get out with just the hubs!
Hudson Bootcut Jeans // J.Crew Green Chiffon Top (old, similar HERE) // Baublebar Noir Tassel Pendant Necklace
The hubs and I celebrated NYE lounging, and had a nice, relaxing time.
My go-to fragrance at the moment.
Tory Burch Gold Revas (old, similar HERE) // J.Crew Toothpick Jeans // C. Wonder Striped Shirt (currently on sale)
Sweet Little V turned 9 weeks old.
One of the best parts of my day.  Reading books at bedtime.
Poor kid was ecstatic to be out of the haircutting chair!
I’ve trimmed L and E’s hair before, but I’ve never touched W’s…yes, you’ve got that right…4 1/2 years!  Look at those split ends…it was definitely time.  Still sad to see those sweet baby hairs go though.
Vineyard Vines Hoodie (old, similar HERE), Claridge + King Striped Shirt (old, similar HERE – LOVE the hearts on the elbows!), J.Crew Signature Leggings // Ugg Scuffette Slippers
It rained the whole day on Wednesday, so after their cuts, I lounged…
Lilly Pulitzer Connell Sweater (old, similar HERE) // Tuckernuck Shirt (old, similar HERE) // Monogrammed Tervis
W headed back to school on Thursday.  Man, it sure was a little difficult to get her there on time!  Not to mention, we got a phone call on the way to school, saying that Boozer had escaped, and he was being held at a neighbor’s house.
Poor Booze.  He’s probably bored out of his mind this time of year.  He escaped THREE times over the holidays!
With W and E both back to school on Friday, I was ready to run some much-needed errands before picking them up from school.
Anthropologie was on my errands list.  I needed a new candle, after my Nest Holiday one finally burned its last flame.  I ended up choosing Anthropologie’s Capri Blue Aloha Orchid.
Thanks to Natalie at designer bags and dirty diapers for the recommendation on these Anthropologie glasses!  LOVE them!  Is it bad that I drink more, just so I can use these delights?
P.S. Check out Natalie‘s blog!  It’ll become a daily read…trust me!
For you Homeland fans, the series is filmed in Charlotte, and here’s a photo of their home.  It’s about two blocks from the house I grew up in until I was in fourth grade.  For you Charlotte locals, it’s on Winnipeg in Mountainbrook.
Along with of course another Elsa, I also picked up this Gardenia Top at the Lilly Cheer Sale.  Can’t wait to wear it this summer!  From your comments on Thursday’s post, it sounds like everyone did well, and the site didn’t crash!  Kudos to Lilly’s team this time!  One reader has actually already received her goodies!  That’s pretty hard to beat!
Sorry for the extensive post!  I hope to stay on top of things this week, and hope that my computer agrees with me.
We’ve got friends coming over for dinner tonight.  Off to clean!
Hope y’all have a wonderful rest of your weekend!

  1. Your kids are the cutest and I absolutely love your clothes! Be sure to check Rue La La on Monday because they have Lilly Pulitzer Womens, Home, and Girls!

  2. Ok I need a pair of Hudson jeans now—-that is what we named our lil one who arrived early December!! He he! Hubby and I just started Homeland last night, can't wait to watch it every night! When the lil ones go to bed, we are glued to the tv now! Downton starts back up tonight-what more needs to be said! If you need a new series, we just finished Jericho, awesome! And have seen a few Sherlock, really good too, quirky but good. Can't wait for your Monday's How I Do it post tomorrow-I'd love to know how you handle morning time and getting out the door to school, into school, breakfast, your shower, getting all dressed, etc. as well as bedtime-bottles, baths, books, and into bed!

    1. Love the name Hudson! I've got a lot in store for my series, and all those things you listed are a part of it in the upcoming weeks. So glad you're enjoying it!! Enjoy Downton tonight! Can't wait!!
