How I Do It: What to Feed a One-Year Old

I’ve had some readers ask what I usually feed my children around one year of age, to accompany their formula.  Simplicity is key.  I try to limit the number of ingredients in what I’m feeding them, and keep it as basic as possible.  Here’s a list of what I feed my babies (be sure and cut up all food into tiny pieces)…

Puffs
Sliced Cheese
Turkey
Chick Peas
Green Beans
Peaches
Blueberries (cut them in half)
Bananas
Bread
Avocado
Peas
Steamed Carrots
Steamed Sweet Potatoes
Steamed Squash
Cooked Pasta
Scrambled Eggs
Boiled Eggs
Hope that’s a good start!
Happy Labor Day, Y’all!

  1. Hey Ashley, love the blog! I was wondering if you could tell me how the Chelsea flats compared in comfort to the Revas. I have a pair of Reva's that I love to death, but wasn't a big fan of the breaking-in process:) Do the Chelsea's need to be broken in too?

  2. Could you do a post on how you potty trained your girls. I noticed some comments on it when I searched but I'd love to know what worked for you. Ages, method, how many days it took. ect
