Lilly Pulitzer for Target is Coming!!! Helpful Tips and Tricks to Get You Ready for Sunday!

It’s Friday!  And not just any Friday, but the Friday before the HUGE Lilly Pulitzer for Target collaboration!  Y’all, I’m so excited but a little stressed out too!  There are so many pieces I’m loving from the collection, and am hoping to score so much online, but I’m worried it’s all going to sell out really fast.  I know I’m not the only one who has a serious wish list of goodies they’re hoping to snag during the online debut on Sunday.  Have you checked out all of the preppy goodness at pretty awesome prices yet??  If not, here’s the full collection here.  I also shared my favorites a few weeks ago, but in case you missed it, head back here to check them out.  I’ll be sharing my top ten picks on tomorrow’s post, as well.  Although I don’t know how I’m going to narrow it down to just ten!

If you haven’t visited the site lately, make sure that you do!  Target has organized it into categories: Womens // Girls // Home // Beauty.  And even better?  If you hover over an item or click on it, it displays the item name and price.  So much easier to sit down and organize your wish list this way.  When it goes live, it will also tell you if it will be online only.  If you’re interested in the amazing hammock – it’s online only, so are most shoes and jewelry.  You can also “heart” your favorites to help organize it for you better.  That way when it goes live, you’ll know exactly which ones you’ll want to snag first.

Just like Lilly’s bi-annual online sale, the most important thing for you to do before the debut is to have your account set up and/or updated.  Since I just moved, I’ve already made sure to update mine to our new address.  Also, make sure and enter your credit card info and make sure it’s saved.  And, while you’re shopping on Sunday, make sure you’re already logged in while you’re shopping.  Doing all of this early will help get you extra prepared, and you’ll be able to check out faster this way.  Click here to check your info.  Also, if you have a REDCard, remember shipping is free.  So if you have something specific you want to lock in, I’d go ahead and check out with your REDCard and then go back and shop for more.

I’ve had many of you asking what time the sale starts, whether it’s at 8/9am like Lilly’s Online Sales or at 12:01am on Sunday.  They have listed that it will begin between 12-2 CST.  Kind of odd that they give the CST instead of the normal Pacific or Eastern times.  This also means that I’ll be hanging around my computer from 12:01am and on.  I know it’s super early, but you know it’ll be worth it!

Another thing to note about this sale is that it is one limited edition collection.  Meaning that every Target store in the US and Canada will be receiving some kind of shipment from the collaboration.  But after that, that’s it.  Your favorites in store will be gone from that store if they’re not out when you’re there, but there will be returns so keep checking back.  And as far as returns go, Target normally gives you 90 days to return an item, Lilly x Target items must be returned within 14 days.

If I were you, and you have two different Targets in your town, or even more (lucky you!), I’d get a few friends and divide and conquer.  Your “top Targets” in your area will receive more of the collection than your other Targets in your area.  If you call a Target manager in your area, they should be able to tell you which Targets are “top Targets” in your area.  They may be able to share even more info with you about the collab.  Spread out wish lists and try and see what you all can get.  Or if you’re wanting something specific, like the highly sought-after umbrella, then maybe have your friend/significant other that may not be as into Lilly as you, shop another location the morning of, and see if they can score it if you can’t.  Just tossing out ideas.

Another semi-annoying feature is that at most Targets will spread out the collection in different sections of your local Target.  So the Little Lilly pieces will be in the girls section, the home collection will be in the Target Home section, etc.  I guess that will make it not as crazy in one particular area, but like I mentioned above, divide and conquer with friends, if possible.  Or shop it all in one place, in the comfort of your own, from your computer.

I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to do, whether I wanted to shop it online or at one of the stores.  Ultimately, I decided to shop it online.  I know as far as clothing goes, it’s harder to know how items will fit, but if you’re in the store, it’s not going to be a relaxing, “Hey, let me take just a few of these into the dressing room and see how they fit.”  It’s going to be more just ‘hey, that’s cute’, grab and go, and hope it fits.  Plus, I’ll be able to see more online, than if I’m around a lot of other Lilly lovers maybe wanting the same things as me and just dealing with the crowds in general.

Be sure and check back here on Sunday, as I’ll be sharing my favorites from the collaboration.  I’ll also be attempting to help with sizing and fit guides for some pieces.  Like most of you, I haven’t seen any clothing or shoes up close yet, but I’ll be describing fit based on material, length, etc.

I’m honestly not sure if Target understands the multitude of Lilly Lovers out there, and just how many people will be waiting in lines at stores and camping by their computer come Sunday.  If the Lilly Team has prepared them at all for what’s in store, I think we’ll all be thankful.  Target is in for a real treat, that’s for sure!  And of course, us Lilly Lovers are too!  I have high hopes that the site won’t shut down, but if it does, be patient.

A few more helpful tips:

-Target does not ship internationally (this includes Canada).
-There’s no limit on how much you can buy (in stores).
-If you’re shopping online, use multiple browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox).  You never know which sites will crash or whether one platform will be more efficiently than another.

I hope y’all have a wonderful weekend!  Do you have a favorite Lilly x Target item that you can’t wait to get your hands on?  I sure hope y’all get lucky and score a lot of fun pieces!!  I know I sure hope I do!  If you have any other questions about the collection, feel free to email me or leave a comment below.

  1. I'm planning on shopping at my local Target! Hopefully it's not a zoo as a lot of people love Lilly in my area!

  2. Canada actually no longer has target here so you're incorrect! Our stores shut down this past month which means no Lilly for us 🙁

    1. Not enough sales! target here just wasn't that great- high prices, limited selection. People just didn't shop there enough. I'm pretty sure target lost millions, we just got Target last year!
